Why do I need to fill these out?

If you are a new tourism related property in Rutherford County, filling out and returning the property forms located on this page will insure your property's FREE listing on the VisitNC website.

Also, if you are currently listed on VisitNC and need to make changes to your property, you may do so by filling out the appropriate form and returning it to us.

Who can be listed?

Our listings consist of tourism related properties. Accommodations, Attractions, Restaurants, Realtors, Meeting Spaces, Wedding Spaces and Events can all be listed. Please make sure to complete all forms that apply to your property under the Extranet category. For example you might be an attraction that also has meeting space, so in that case you will want to fill out both forms under Extranet. If you have any question as to whether or not you are eligible to be listed ,please contact us before filling out the forms.

Rutherford County accommodations must collect the 5% occupancy tax legislated for Rutherford County, and send monthly tax payments to the Rutherford County Finance Department. If you plan to rent, or are currently renting and you do not collect occupancy tax, please contact the Finance Department to receive the appropriate paperwork (828-287-6211). There are penalties and fees associated with delinquent occupancy tax payments.
