One of NC's newest state parks, Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park brings the best of the mountains together in one place with a list of things to do as infinite as the views. An elevator inside the mountain or a network of stairs & boardwalks takes you to 315' Chimney Rock & amazing 75-mi. views of Hickory Nut Gorge, Lake Lure & the Carolina Piedmont. With unique hiking trails suitable for all ages & abilities, the Park has something for everyone from the family-friendly Great Woodland Adventure trail to the more adventurous Four Seasons trail which climbs more than 400'. Be sure to hike the Hickory Nut Falls trail-the reward is the 404' falls, one of the highest in the East. Also offered is guided rock climbing lessons for beginners to advanced climbers. Old Rock Cafe & Sky Lounge Deli offer tasty sandwiches & snacks to get you fueled up for your hike. The Park offers group discounts & is pet friendly. Open all year except Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day. Annual Passes $25. Passholders receive discounts in the Park & at other area attractions. Weddings: Whether on top of the Chimney with a 75-mi. panoramic view, at the base of our 404' waterfall, surrounded by majestic cliffs or in a silent meadow, the Park offers a unique mountain setting for your ceremony that is as rustic or elegant as you are. Our Groups Manager is available to help with all of your wedding planning needs. A Park coordination fee is required as a non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. 50 people max for wedding at the foot of Hickory Nut Falls (involves hiking). 75 people max for ceremony on top of the Chimney; 25 additional guests may be on the boardwalk deck below the Chimney if necessary (depending on volume of other Park guest traffic). Ceremonies w/over 100 held on the Meadows.
